Simple Media System version 2.9 (Latest version).

Tiny yet powerful DivX/Xvid/MP3 player for the PS2. If you have a PS2,
you have all the hardware you need.SMS can be installed on a PS2 with a modchip, and can also run on an un-modded PS2 via the Independence Exploit.

Features of SMS include:

SMS will read video files from a variety of sources: Network Streaming, USB Drives, Hard Drives (both the Official Sony HDD and any normal PC HDD), or the good old CD/DVD-ROM. SMS can even read DVD-RW discs specially formatted with the DVD-Video filesystem, or CD-R Discs formatted with CDDAFS without needing a modchip or any Swap tricks.

Personal Notes
The .Rar file contains a disk image in .BIN & .CUE format. Burn it in a CD or DVD making sure to Finalize the CD/DVD and do it in "Disc At Once" method. The result is a boot disk for PS2. This means that you enter it in the PS2 and restart the PS2 (FOR PS2 WITH A MODCHIP). I haven't used the program in a PS2 without a modchip 'cause i don't have one but it is supposed to wrk for them as well through an exploit,according to this diagram:If you get it running either way, press Start button at the first screen to bring up the menu and i suggest that you go to the Help option and press X button to read the controls of the program. I succefully watched .avi movies with seperate .srt subtitles from DVDs filled with .avi movies, a USB memory stick and an External USB Hard drive which I directly connected to the Playstation's USB port.
